Geneva Chamber of Commerce Seeks Canstruction Donations
Canstruction is underway, and we are seeking your help to make it a success. Hosted by Waubonsee Community College, the Tri-Cities are collaborating to raise awareness of food insecurity and help fight hunger.
Canstruction is an organization that hosts competitions where teams build sculptures entirely out of unopened cans of food. This year’s theme is “Harmony Against Hunger.” Teams will build a sculpture that represents a song, band, instrument or album cover and delivers a message of hunger relief, community or hope.
Every can of food that is used in the sculptures will be donated to local food pantries. Teams will build their sculptures on February 17, 2027, and will be on display for a couple of days before they’re taken down.
We need your help with donations and sponsorships most. Donations and sponsorships support a specific team build you choose or general Tri-City Canstruction expenses. Geneva Chamber of Commerce is helping Northern Illinois Food Bank. Donation options range from $25-$500. Sponsorship options range from $1,000-$5,000.
