We want to remind everyone that businesses along East State Street are open during construction. All of us here at the Geneva Chamber know it looks a little different trying to support those businesses, but their doors are open for you to enjoy their good food and/or products.

Small businesses rely on the kindness of the community. Because of the construction, it is more important than ever to stop inside the businesses along East State Street. If you cannot directly support them, there are several ways to help local businesses without spending money. The easiest and most important is sharing on social media. Post a picture of a past meal or item you purchased or share one of their posts on Facebook and Instagram.

Supporting Geneva businesses is incredibly important to our community and, of course, to our economy. Geneva thrives on small businesses and helping them stay open helps keep our one-of-a-kind charm. When people call our office asking where to go and where to shop, we always promote the downtown businesses along the Third Street and State Street area. The more successful a place is, the more jobs open in the area, and we have also gotten quite a few inquiries about who is hiring.
