Job Summary

Respond to maintenance and safety requests and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed across two campuses.

Duties and Responsibilities

? Respond to staff maintenance concerns and problem solve issues needing to be addressed with Finance Director.

? Monitor and respond to security and safety issues.

? Conduct routine building inspections to identify and address issues early

? Perform quality checks on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

? Work with the Fire Marshall, fire department and ADS to perform yearly inspections. Respond to and correct any safety concerns identified.

? Work directly with staff, residents, and tenants, addressing concerns in a calm, respectful, and supportive way.

? Coordinate bid process for projects over $5,000.

? Work with contracted HVAC, plumbing and electrical system companies to complete larger repairs and maintenance.

? Coordinate schedules and access to contractors.

? Coordinate deliveries from vendors and suppliers.

? Work with waste and recycling company.

? Work with the landscaping company to ensure proper maintenance of properties.

? Work with pest control company.

? Work with the City of Aurora to ensure property standards compliance.

? Manage documentation of inspections, facility issues, and facility repairs.

? Keep track of vendors, warranties, and service contacts

? Maintain inventory of all repair supplies and cleaning supplies.

? Test and recommend new maintenance products.

? Build relationships with neighbors, local stores, and community partners

? Help with transport and setup for company events and programs

? Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

? Construction Skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing and electrical systems.

? Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

? Administrative skills for ordering supplies, handling records, and scheduling maintenance.

? Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move and handle maintenance items. Must be able to navigate stairs.

? Self-directed and able to manage overall goals while accomplishing multiple tasks.

? Strong written and verbal communication skills for discussing maintenance issues.

? Organizational and time management skills.

? Computer proficiency.

? Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.

? Demonstrate personal integrity and a professional image in all interactions.

Working Conditions

Standard office environment, but will be doing physical tasks in that environment.

Must be able to work with power tools and heavy equipment. Able to travel between both campuses.

Flexible working hours may be required especially in the event of an emergency.
