Description
The Fabyan Villa Museum was redesigned by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1907 and details the story of Colonel Fabyan and his wife, Nelle. The Fabyans were a wealthy couple who oversaw a vast farm of over 350 acres that straddled the Fox River. They raised prize-winning cattle, hogs, chickens, and dogs. They also advanced scientific discovery, including codebreaking during World War I and architectural acoustics.
Guided tours are available at 11 AM on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Tickets are $10/person. Visit the website at PPFV.org/fabyan-villa-museum for tickets and more information.
Self-guided tours are also available from 12-3 PM on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from May 3-September 28.
Please note: The Fabyan Villa Museum is within the 240-acre Fabyan Forest Preserve and is about a 1/2-mile walk from the parking lot.
