Description
Bluebeard’s Castle by Béla Bartók is a one-act opera where dramatic storytelling meets psychological thriller. Duke Bluebeard’s new bride, Judith, coerces him to open 7 doors in his castle, each one revealing disturbing moments of his life. What happened to all of Bluebeard’s prior brides? Will Judith meet the same gruesome fate as Bluebeard’s former wives? Can love survive the truth of one’s past?
