Description
Chair caning is not a lost art! Your broken caned chairs can be made functional again. No appointments needed.
Our visiting repair expert will be in our Gift Gallery on the day of the event to evaluate your broken caned furniture and review repair options. She'll bring your items to her workshop for repair and will return them to The Little Traveler for pickup at a later date. Most repairs take approximately 6 months to complete.
On the date of the event, bring your items to be repaired into our Gift Gallery. Please Note: We cannot accept caned furniture outside of event date & time.
Sue Heidelberg learned the art of chair caning over 40 years ago when her husband opened a furniture restoration business in Batavia, IL, and has taught caning classes at Waubonsee Community College. Through the years, she's felt great satisfaction at being able to help her customers hold on to family heirlooms through this service. She enjoys hearing the stories of how their chairs and other caned furniture have been acquired and handed down through generations.
