SUMMARY:Lamp Repair
DESCRIPTION:Bring your broken table and floor lamps of all kinds into our Gift Gallery during event hours\, and our visiting repair expert\, Tom Novak\, will make them functional again. Please remove the lampshade and leave it at home (unless it's required for the lamp to operate). Lamps will be taken to Tom's workshop and returned to The Little Traveler for pickup at a later date.\n\nMost repairs take approximately three weeks to complete. We'll call you once your repaired lamp is ready to pick up. You'll pay a $25 deposit on the day of the event. Any remaining balance will be paid when you pick up your lamp. \n\nPlease Note: We do not accept lamps outside of the event date & time. \n\nTom's repair services include:\n\n\n	Rewiring\n	Installing new switches\n	Replacing cords\n	Converting to different switch types\n	Installation of new light sockets.\n\n\nHe can also inspect lamps to determine if they are safe to use and troubleshoot to identify why a lamp is not working. Please note that Tom does not typically work with chandeliers\, but if you have one in need of repair\, you may bring in a picture of it and Tom will assess whether or not he'll be able to help with it. \n\nAbout Our Repair Expert\n\nFor more than five years\, Tom Novak has been building\, custom making\, and repairing lamps. He originally became interested in lamp work when he was intrigued by steampunk pipe lamps and decided to build one for himself. He then began to experiment with other styles and also started restoring vintage table and floor lamps. Many people asked Tom if he could repair their lamps\, so he added lamp repair to his services.
