CG Cookie is an online subscription-based school for digital artists. We are a small enthusiastic crew committed to building a company we’re all proud to work for while being a force for good in the community.
For the past 10 years, our online platform has offered affordable education for game developers and animation artists. We educate them through videos, live classes and resources, though our goal is to go a few steps further by also operating a thriving online community and empowering artists by showing them how to turn their hobby into a career.
While the majority of our members are individual digital artists, we also offer group subscriptions to CG Cookie to schools (and studios) teaching Game Development, or 3D Animation programs. Educators use our platform as in-class resources or as material that supplements their own curriculum. 
Geneva, IL is CG Cookie’s mothership, with a team in 15 cities around this pale blue dot. This means that 90% of our communication happens online.

As a sales account executive for group sales of CG Cookie subscription to schools, you will be the voice of CG Cookie and have a direct impact on the growth of the company. You will be responsible for identifying, contacting and closing new group accounts, with focus on adding genuine value and crafting long-lasting partnerships.
You have experience with sales in the education sector and know the singularities of navigating a higher education space. You enjoy talking to people on the phone, have great communications skills and can stay organized while managing dozens of active leads.

We are a small company, which means you’ll be wearing multiple hats, with a few primary responsibilities:
  • Identifying, contact and close new group accounts with a focus on educational institutions. You’ll be measured on how many accounts you close
  • Maintain positive relationships with existing group subscribers through email, phone, and CG Cookie website
  • Design and perform outreach activities to leads such as video live streams, webinars, email, phone and attend 1-2 trade shows a year
  • Communicate with the CG Cookie team through Basecamp, Slack, and Intercom. 
  • 1+ years of experience in education sales or outreach roles (K-6 through K-12 and higher ed preferred)
  • Though you are not expected to be a digital artist, an active interest in the creative digital industry is preferred 
  • A positive attitude and willingness to tackle unforeseen problems
  • Entrepreneurial approach and an ability to determine the highest-impact activities of each day
  • If not located in the Chicagoland area, ~99% of your work will be remote, which means online communication skills and patience are a must.
