Description
Will you survive the Zombie Apocalypse? Saturday, October 25, Wheeler Park will transform into a terrifying playground for the undead. Dodge the zombies and reach the vaccination point to save yourself from becoming a zombie dinner! Participants will be divided into groups of 10-15 people. Each group will begin their journey every five minutes. A trained guide will navigate each group through the land of the undead by utilizing various supplies at designated ?safe zones.? From 5:00 to 6:00 pm, the Zombie Apocalypse will provide less intense, family-friendly course recommended for children ages 10 and under. Zombies are instructed to take it easy in this slower-paced by equally fun version to ensure each participant, no matter what age, has a great time. At 6:30 pm, the real Zombie Apocalypse begins! As the sun sets and an eerie fog rolls in, Wheeler park is transformed into the ultimate zombie obstacle course until 9:30 p.m. This course is suggested for those ages 11 and older. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing for running through the course. Early registration is encouraged, as space is limited. Pre-registration cost is $9 per person ($14 non-resident). On-site registration is $10 per person ($15 non-resident). Interested in becoming a zombie? We need volunteers, ages 14 and older, to be transformed into the undead by professional face painters and chase humans in our apocalypse. Volunteers must be available from 3 to 10 p.m. Volunteers will receive pizza, soda, and water prior to the event. Volunteer spots are limited. Call (630)-232-4542 to reserve your volunteer zombie spot by October 1. For more information, call (630)-232-4542 or visit genevaparks.org.
