The Language of Action and Enrollment

Discussion:  Explore the critical importance of language as it relates to creating action (the role of managers) and enrollment (the role of leaders). 

Exercise:  Define and practice the art of making requests and promises and the differences of requests vs demands.


Breakdowns vs Breakthroughs  

Discussion:  Highlight the team-based dynamic of the effective, honest, and important role of declaring breakdowns to our individual and team commitments and the art of quickly shifting to breakthrough discussions to identify improvements and modifications.

Exercise:  Leverage distinctions learned to identify a real breakdown that may be occurring within a team environment or within the company and practice the ability to shift from blame, interpretation, and defensiveness to the act of learning, creation, and advancement.
